Industrial club
The aim of IPRD is to work with industry and research organisations to help define problems, collaborate to develop solutions and then to transfer this information into member companies as appropriate.
Membership of the club costs £3k pa and gives companies an opportunity to:
- Learn of new process technologies being developed within Leeds and beyond through IPRD conferences and newsletters
- Highlight generic or specific problem areas to be investigated by IPRD
- Develop collaborations to suit for example 1:1 or multi-organisation projects, contract work or consultancy
- Interact with experts in process, organic, physical organic and environmental chemistry, catalysis, crystallisation and reactor engineering
- Participate in a forum with members interested in manufacturing for example drugs, intermediates, specialities, dyes, nano-products, and support services such as modelling, analysis, reactors
- Facilitate knowledge transfer, confidentiality agreements and licensing discussions
The industrial club will hold two meetings a year:
- A spring 1 day overnight conference is for the IPRD members meeting; conference with invited lectures; members and invited speakers dinner.
- An autumn 1 full day meeting where iPRD showcases projects and new technologies being developed.
Other Benefits of being an industrial club member include: technology alerts, workshops, training courses, advice and information, CV's of final year students.
